The wait for the next installment in the Mass Effect saga continues, but despite Mass Effect 5 being officially announced during 2020’s The Game Awards, fans are still waiting. However, with BioWare being just one of the studios affected by its publisher, Electronic Arts, being made private by an investor consortium led by Saudi Arabia’s sovereign Public Investment Fund (PIF), the future remains uncertain for the beloved sci-fi series.
First launched back in 2007, Mass Effect received such rave reviews, that it was not long before BioWare turned it into an award-winning trilogy. Then, in 2017, the series continued with Mass Effect: Andromeda, and although it did not receive the same acclaim as the original trilogy, its dedicated fans still appreciated the opportunity to return to the futuristic, space-bound setting.
Hope Is Not Lost For Mass Effect Fans
Now, with it having been almost a decade since the last entry, we are still eagerly awaiting the launch of Mass Effect 5, and although BioWare has turned its attention to its development in full swing since the launch of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, there is still no word of a potential release window.
However, hope is not lost, as although the Mass Effect saga is currently on an ongoing hiatus, there is an upcoming video game release which may just satiate the sci-fi fans.
Set to launch in Spring 2027, The Expanse: Osiris Reborn is an upcoming action-adventure RPG from Owlcat Games, and, as you can probably expect, it is set in The Expanse universe. First arriving on PC (Steam), Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5, as well as becoming a day one release on the Xbox Game Pass, it is one of the most anticipated releases for 2027, and for good reason, as players take on the role of their very own custom-made captain who must lead a crew of specialists to face off escalating threats, political pressure, and a relentless enemy. As the official synopsis reads:
By the 24th century, humanity has conquered the cosmos. However, life has remained anything but easy. In The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, a story-driven sci-fi Action RPG, you play as a Pinkwater Security mercenary whose brief shore leave on the asteroid Eros spirals out of control. Trapped in a deadly lockdown and drawn into a solar system-wide conspiracy far beyond your control, you’ll have to adapt, survive, taking command of the most advanced ship in the whole of the solar system.
The Expanse Returns
Based on everything we’ve seen so far, this could definitely be the sci-fi RPG we’ve been waiting for since the days of the original Mass Effect trilogy. No shade to Mass Effect Andromeda, but it just didn’t really hit in the same way. Actually, some shade to Mass Effect Andromeda.
Although The Expanse: Osiris Reborn does not yet have an official release date, we do know that its beta will launch on 22 April 2027 on PC (Steam), Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. As such, you will be able to try the upcoming RPG in advance, and determine for yourself if it will fill the void that Mass Effect 5 has left.

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
